Android Central US

A refined clamshell with a wider main screen, thinner body and long software support, but unchanged cameras and limited cover screen software. Likely the best North American flip.
Excellent build quality and nearly creaseless main display
Main display wider, feeling closer to Plus-sized phones
Thinner body with IP48 protection
Exynos 2500 solid in daily use and benchmarks
Free screen protector replacement within a year
Cover screen less functional than Galaxy Z Flip 6
Camera hardware unchanged from previous generation
The Flip 7's larger edge-to-edge cover screen is a meaningful upgrade and the best Flip to date, though running full apps on the front remains cumbersome.
Large edge-to-edge cover screen is a major upgrade
All-day battery life for a flip phone
Reliable main camera system
Seven years of OS and security updates
Improved extended warranty covering screens
Dust susceptibility despite IP48 rating
Running full apps on cover screen is still too hard
Samsung makes app setup needlessly complicated versus Motorola
A major step up for Samsung's flip line thanks to a much larger cover screen and long update support, though battery life, slow charging and no telephoto camera hold it…
A fun, well-built, stylish flip phone with a useful-looking but limited cover screen. Weak battery life and gaming performance hold it back from being the clear compact folding pick.
Large, high-resolution cover screen with smooth 120Hz refresh
Premium metal build with IP48 dust and water resistance
Compact and lightweight when folded and unfolded
Fun flip features like Flex Cam
Good camera for selfies and social media
Short battery life
Slow wired charging and no charger in box
Exynos 2500 struggles with demanding games and heats up
