What the reviewers said

Android Central US

3/5Jan 17, 2026

A nearly identical successor to the Moto G Power 2025 with a few upgrades and some losses. Solid battery life and affordable at $300, but a confusing, incremental update.

  • Remains affordable at $300
  • Great one to two day battery life
  • Solid everyday performance
  • Vegan leather back feels grippy and premium
  • Bloatware kept to a minimum
  • Thick and boxy design
  • Mostly same specs as predecessor
  • Gaming performance is a weak point
  • No wireless charging
  • Underwhelming cameras with no camera improvements

Tom's Guide US

3/5Jan 13, 2026

A perfectly fine long-lasting budget phone, but the cheaper Moto G (2026) offers nearly the same value, so it's a weaker pick.

  • Excellent battery life, about 18 hours in Tom's Guide test
  • Unique design for a budget phone
  • IP68/IP69 water resistance
  • Priced at $299 with 128GB storage and microSD
  • Wireless charging removed compared with predecessor
  • Same modest MediaTek chipset as last year
  • Dim LCD display
  • Only two years of Android updates
  • Camera struggles in high-contrast lighting
