Tech Advisor UK

A strong budget big-battery phone with a great display, held back by messy AI software, bloatware, and short update support.

  • Huge battery life, especially the 7000mAh version
  • High-quality display with high peak brightness
  • Unique Pantone colours and textures
  • IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance
  • Good value at its price
  • Messy Moto AI experience
  • Bloatware and sponsored app prompts
  • Short OS update promise (3 years)
  • Best colours only on smaller battery model
  • Heats up and struggles with demanding gaming

Exceptional battery life makes this a very good buy at its price, though performance, bloatware and the lack of always-on display hold it back.

  • Excellent battery life, lasting two to three days
  • Slim, light body with IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H rating
  • Main camera produces colorful, punchy photos
  • Long-ish software support for the price
  • Charging well below the advertised 68W in testing
  • Performance adequate but stutters under multitasking
  • Excessive pre-installed apps and forced installs
  • No true always-on display
  • Wide-angle camera and 2x zoom disappoint

4.5/5May 31, 2026

Feels premium in many ways, with a great screen, strong design and huge battery. Some rough edges, but it outclasses similarly priced rivals.

  • Fantastic-looking AMOLED screen with 144Hz and high brightness
  • Premium-feeling textured design and light weight
  • Giant 7,000mAh battery lasting two or more days
  • Strong IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H protection
  • Handy charging health features
  • Bluetooth connection prone to drop-outs
  • AI app search replacement is slow and frustrating
  • Only three years of OS updates
  • Under-display fingerprint scanner misses sometimes
