A fantastic Pixel with useful magnetic charging and helpful AI tools, held back by performance and battery life. Among the best phones, behind the Pro XL.

  • Refined design with better durability and colors
  • Magnetic Pixelsnap charging is very useful
  • AI tools like Magic Cue are helpful when they work
  • Very bright, sharp display
  • Excellent camera performance, especially low-light
  • Performance lags behind other big Android phones
  • Battery life hurt by Tensor G5 efficiency
  • Some AI features don't work as described
  • Charging speed is slow
  • Base storage of 128GB is low for the price

An iterative but solid upgrade over the Pixel 9 Pro, with a brighter screen, Tensor G5, and PixelSnap; many new AI features are not yet useful.

  • Same distinctive, well-liked design as last year
  • Brighter display with peak brightness up to 3,300 nits
  • PixelSnap brings magnetic Qi2 charging and accessories to Android
  • Tensor G5 chip on TSMC manufacturing
  • Material 3 Expressive makes Android feel fun
  • Very incremental update over the Pixel 9 Pro
  • Glossy, smudge-prone polished edges
  • Many new AI features not yet working or useful
  • 50-100x zoom often looks overprocessed
  • Ask Photos not available in Canada at launch

4/5Aug 27, 2025

Familiar design with minor hardware changes, but strong on-device AI and a capable camera. Base 128GB model is best avoided, and pricing feels steep.

  • Compact premium Android phone with high-end build
  • Pixelsnap opens access to a large magnetic accessory ecosystem
  • Strong on-device AI features like Magic Cue and Pro Res Zoom
  • Versatile camera system with 5x telephoto
  • Sharp, bright 6.3-inch LTPO display
  • 128GB base storage should be avoided
  • CPU and GPU performance lacking for a flagship
  • Only a minor upgrade over the predecessor
  • Overpriced for what it offers

8/10Aug 27, 2025

A polished flagship with useful on-device AI in Magic Cue and Qi2 magnets, though battery life is only average and upgrades are modest for current owners.

  • Qi2 magnetic charging built in
  • Magic Cue surfaces useful calendar and email info on device
  • Great camera with upgraded portrait mode
  • Tensor G5 feels snappy and runs cooler
  • Polished premium finish and design
  • Battery life is just okay
  • Some AI features feel like gimmicks
  • Not a must-upgrade for current Pixel owners
  • No ray tracing support in games

4/5Aug 27, 2025

A solid, compact Pixel with a brilliant Pixelsnap magnetic system and a much faster Tensor G5, but held back by eSIM-only U.S. models, forced battery throttling, weak Vulkan support, and…

  • Pixelsnap Qi2 magnet system works well, with official MagSafe accessory support
  • Tensor G5 much faster than prior Pixels, better gaming performance
  • Most AI features processed on-device
  • Excellent haptics and speakers
  • Bright display, easy to see outdoors
  • U.S. models are eSIM-only with no physical SIM tray
  • Battery health feature forces throttling starting at 200 cycles
  • No support yet for latest Vulkan version
  • Performance still well behind Snapdragon flagships
  • PWM flicker rate is poor for sensitive eyes
